Time Management Solutions for BusyNess Women - Increase Your Productivity & Take Your Time

Time is one of the most valuable resources we have, and we can never get it back once it's gone. It is not renewable. As a result, managing our time wisely is critical if we want to be productive, achieve our goals, and live fulfiling lives. Many women especially, face numerous demands on their time, including family responsibilities, work commitments, and social obligations. As a result, finding the time to get everything done can be a significant challenge. In this blog, I will help by identifying five time management solutions that will simply help productivity and help you TAKE YOUR TIME ❤️

1. Prioritise Your Tasks

One of the most effective time management strategies is to prioritise your tasks. You need to know what is essential and what can wait. When you have a long list of things to do, it can be overwhelming, and you may not know where to start. However, if you take the time to prioritise your tasks, you can focus on the most important things first and get them done.

To prioritise your tasks, start by making a list of everything you need to do. Then, rank the items on the list based on their level of importance. The most important tasks should be at the top of the list, and the least important tasks should be at the bottom. By doing this, you can ensure that you focus your time and energy on the tasks that will make the most significant impact. Another great tool to prioritise tasks is The Eisenhower Matrix

The Eisenhower Matrix, also known as the Urgent-Important Matrix, is a decision-making tool used to prioritise tasks based on their urgency and importance.

The matrix divides tasks into four categories

1.Urgent and Important

Require immediate action and should be done right away.

2.Important but Not Urgent

Are important but don't require immediate action. They should be scheduled and done at a later time.

3.Urgent but Not Important

Are urgent but don't contribute much to achieving your goals. They should be delegated to someone else if possible.

4.Not Urgent and Not Important

These are tasks that don't require your attention and can be eliminated or postponed indefinitely.

2. Use a Time Management Tool

Another effective time management solution is to use a time management tool. There are many tools available, such as calendars, to-do lists, and apps that can help you manage your time more effectively. These tools can help you keep track of your schedule, set reminders, and prioritise your tasks. I plan every single week. On Sunday we sit down and chat about where we need to be. Everything goes onto the plan, work, fitness, self-care, kids taxi. The biggest thing is to give yourself a break of you don't achieve what you set out to do.

For example, you can use a calendar to schedule your appointments, meetings, and other commitments. You can also use a to-do list to keep track of the tasks you need to complete. Some apps can help you organise your time, set reminders, and track your progress towards your goals. I capture everything in my weekly planner, which you can buy here, Winning the Week Digital Planner | My Site ( , this is connected to my google calendar, which is connected to my website. Everything is automated and I love it!!!

3. Delegate Tasks

Delegating tasks is another effective time management strategy. Many women feel like they need to do everything themselves, but this is not always the case. Delegating tasks to others can help you free up time and focus on the things that are most important. Covid was extremely kind to my household. I have an extremely supportive partner, chores & childcare are

fairly even. I ask for help when I need it. I will not take everything on.

To delegate tasks effectively, start by identifying tasks that can be delegated. These are tasks that do not require your specific skills or expertise. Once you have identified these tasks, delegate them to someone else who has the necessary skills and expertise. This could be a co-worker, a family member, or a friend.

4. Practice Time Blocking

Time blocking is a time management technique that involves scheduling specific blocks of time for specific tasks. This technique can help you be more productive by eliminating distractions and allowing you to focus on one task at a time. I love a time block, I can work the oddest hours and if I am in the zone I will push through. The gift I give me is I try not to work Fridays. I will work when I have to but I have learned to switch off and this has been priceless.

To practice time blocking, start by scheduling blocks of time on your calendar for specific tasks. For example, you could schedule an hour to respond to emails, another hour to work on a project, and another hour for exercise. During each block of time, focus solely on the task at hand and avoid distractions such as social media and email. I do not have my phone in the same room as I work in. If the school ring, they ring me and my partner so I know I won't miss that. Clients tend to email and voicemail is a wonderful thing.

5. Take Breaks

Taking breaks is another essential time management strategy. Many of us believe that they need to work non-stop to be productive, but this is not true. Taking breaks can help you recharge and be more productive in the long run.

To take effective breaks, schedule them into your day. For example, you could take a 15-minute break every two hours to stretch, walk, or meditate. During your break, avoid checking your phone or responding to emails. Focus on relaxing and recharging your batteries.
